MPR Medication Possession Ratio

Medication Possession Ratio (MPR)

Medication Possession Ratio (MPR) measures the percentage of time a patient has access to medication.

Access to medication can be measured along two dimensions: What is PDC?

  • by a patient’s refill count.
  • by a patient's pill count.

  • MPR is the sum of the days' supply for all fills of a given drug in a particular time period, divided by the number of days in the time period.
