Phosphate Absorbers and use of e-pill Multi-Alarm TimeCap (chronic kidney disease)

Phosphate Absorbers

For patients with chronic kidney disease, Phosphate Absorbers are to be taken just before, or with meals. Commonly used drugs are: Renagel® (sevelamer) , Renvela® (sevelamer carbonate), PhosLo® (calcium acetate), Fosrenol® (lanthanum carbonate).

Use the e-pill Multi-Alarm TimeCap (SKU 941457 / UPC 837066000039) to keep track / remind you to take your Phosphate Absorbers in the following way. | Video

  • VISUAL Indicator: Simply set the alarm one hour before you are scheduled to take your Phosphate Absorber pills (usually at mealtime).
  • When you look at the e-pill the display will be FLASHING -- this is your (discreet) reminder to take your Phosphate Absorber pills. If you had already taken them the display would be solid (not flashing).
