  • What is a pillpak?

    A pillpak is a pill case with an alarm! It reminds you everyday to take your pill!

  • How does it work?

    Just place your pills in the pillpak, set the clock and the alarm one time. That's all you have to do. The pillpak alarm will notify you everyday to take your pill.

  • What does it sound like?

    The pillpak beeps just like a wristwatch and has 3 separate functions: (1) alarm (2) chime or (3) alarm and chime together. When you set the clock and the alarm you can choose the option you prefer. If you change your mind, you can change it at any time.

  • How do I set the clock and alarm?

    Each pillpak comes with easy to follow instructions. You only need to set it one time, then you never have to do it again (unless you choose to change your alarm time preference). Some pillpak users take more than one pill each day and choose to reset the alarm several times a day so that the pillpak reminds them to take each and every pill on time! Instructions come with the pillpak or, you can download them from the website at any time.

  • How do I stop the alarm?

    Simply open the pillpak and press either one of the two buttons, labeled "set" or "mode".

  • Does the pillpak function differently if I choose (1) alarm, (2) chime or (3) alarm and chime combination?

    Yes.

    (1)Alarm only

    If you set the pillpak for alarm only, the alarm will sound at your chosen time for a full minute unless you turn it off sooner by opening up the pillpak and pressing either button. After a full minute, the alarm will stop and will not sound again until the next day at the chosen time.

    (2) Chime Only

    If you set the pillpak for chime only, the pillpak will ONLY sound once every hour on the hour. It will NOT sound at any other time. It will ONLY sound ONCE every hour on the hour!

    (3) Alarm and Chime Combination

    We recommend that you set the pillpak using the combination function of both the alarm and the chime. When set this way, the alarm will sound for a full minute at the designated time, unless you turn it off sooner and the chime will ALWAYS sound ONCE, every hour on the hour.

    If I don't hear the alarm will it stop or keep sounding?

    If the pillpak is set in either the alarm or the combination mode, the alarm will beep for one minute before it will stop, unless you turn if off sooner.

    If you set the pillpak for chime only, the chime will sound once, every hour on the hour.

    If you set the pillpak with the combination alarm and chime function and you don't hear the alarm when it sounds for a full minute, the chime will beep once every hour on the hour. This is an additional reminder for you!

  • What pills fit in the pillpak?

    Our pillpak was designed to fit birth control pills packaged in a rectangular shape!

    However, many people not using birth control pills, use the pillpak to accommodate loose pills of all shapes and sizes by putting their pills in a small ziplock bag and placing the bag in the pillpak! This way, everyone can use the pillpak to remember to take any medication! These ziplock bags are 2" X 3" and can be purchased in a hobby store.

    If your birth control pills are rectangular, chances are it will fit in the pillpak! There are numerous manufacturers of birth control pills and many different types. We have listed some of the more common rectangular birth control pill names here

  • What if I don't know which kind of pill I take?

    Most rectangular pills fit in the pillpak without any problem. We designed it that way. The inside of the pillpak is the same size as a credit card. To see if your pills will fit, just place a credit card on top of your pills. If they are the same size or smaller than the credit card, OR if the foil base on your pills can be trimmed with scissors to fit the size of a credit card, they will fit in the pillpak. Most rectangular pills fit in the pillpak.

  • What if my pills don't fit?

    The inside of the pillpak is the same size as a credit card. Most rectangular pills will fit in the pillpak. If yours pills do not easily fit, just take your scissors and trim the foil or plastic base on your pills to the size of a credit card and they will fit! We already know that Kariva, Necon 1/35-28, Norinyl, Tri Norinyl have to be trimmed to fit in the pillpak. You can also put your pills in a small ziplock bag and place the ziplock bag in the pillpak! These ziplock bags are 2" X 3" and can be purchased in any hobby store.

  • What if my pills have a rectangular base but the pills on top are in the shape of the circle?

    No problem! These pills are called Alesse or Triphasil and we specifically designed our pillpak to accommodate these types of pills.

  • What if I take other medication besides the birth control pill?

    We have clients who use the pillpak for other kinds of pills. For example: epilepsy, high blood pressure, diabetes, hormone replacement and general medications. Many clients buy small ziplock bags (2" X 3"), usually found in the jewelry section of a hobby store, and put their pills in the ziplock bag, and place the ziplock bag in our pillpak! That way they know they will take their pill on time.

  • Can I reuse my pillpak?

    Of course! Pillpaks are reliable and reusable month after month. Just put your next month's supply of pills in the pillpak and keep on using it forever!

  • What about the battery?

    When you receive the pillpak and are ready to set the clock and alarm, pull out the activation tab to start the battery. The battery should last for approximately 2 years and is the same type as a watch battery, (#LR44), and can be bought at your local drugstore or at RadioShack.

  • How big is the pillpak?

    The outer dimensions are 2 1/4" wide x 4" long.

  • How do I set my PillPak?

    Functions: in order of setting: ALARM , DATE, TIME

    (Note that readout will default to the time display after 3 seconds if any button is not pushed within the 3 seconds)



    Adjustment Keys:

    Open case to view keys.

    n SET (on left) - advances functions to set data.

    n MODE (on right) - advances data during function

    setting; After the functions have been set you may also press

    the mode key to toggle through each

    function to view the current setting.



    Before Activating:



    Decide whether you are going to set the pillpak to alarm, chime or to do both alarm and chime.

    We recommend both when getting used to your pillpak. You can change your settings at any time.



    To Activate: Open case and carefully pull battery insulator straight out (clear tab).



    Function Setting:

    If you pull out the insulator tab and do not hit either set or mode within the first three seconds then the pillpak will automatically default to the time display.

    From the Time display, pressing the SET key advances you from the default TIME display and from one function to another:

    starting with ALARM (fig.1 to 5) to DATE (fig.6&7) to TIME (fig.8&9) for setting purposes.

    As each component of a function flashes, you will use the MODE key to advance the setting, e.g., ALARM hour digit(s) flash so you push mode to reach the desired hour. Once the correct

    hour is reached, press set for minutes setting. Repeat to reach and set the A.M.(A)

    or P.M. (P) component.



    n ALARM (AL between digits) - Figures 1 to 5:

    A. The first function you reach by pressing the SET key is the Alarm. It's

    necessary to set the alarm sound first. While the hour and minute numerals are

    flashing, press the mode key to move through the alarm sound choices. There

    are three choices: alarm only (fig.1); alarm & chime (fig.2) or chime only (fig.3).



    Alarm means that the pillpak will sound everyday at your selected time for a full minute (unless you turn it off sooner by pressing either button). Chime means that the pillpak will sound one beep every hour on the hour and will not sound at any other time. Alarm and Chime means that the pillpak will sound for a full minute at your selected time (unless you turn it off sooner) AND the pillpak will also sound one beep every hour on the hour.

    Alarm -> Chime -> Alarm & Chime

    B. The hour and minute numerals will remain flashing. After step "A" has been

    chosen, set the time of the alarm next by pressing the SET key. Press the

    MODE key to advance the alarm hours: A for A.M. or P for P.M. Press SET to

    choose the minutes. Press the MODE key to advance the alarm minutes.

    Press SET when finished setting the alarm time to advance to the DATE

    function and advance the month by using the MODE key. Press SET to

    advance to the day of the month, press MODE to advance to the desired
