Steroids and other anti-inflammatory drugs work by reducing swelling and mucus production in the airways of a person with asthma. But such prevention medications must be taken on a regular (example daily or twice daily) basis.
1. When you see the word MED flashing on the display.
2. Administer your MDI medication (Maintenance Inhaler Medication or Combination Inhaler Medication.
3. Open PuffMinder ALARM and press the STOP button. Close the lid.
DONE. The count down timer re-starts automatically and visual indicator is turned on tomorrow at the same time.
Count-down timer: The display shows time remaining to next medication dose. Simple, compact, and incredibly easy to use. The PuffMinder ALARM reminds you to take your inhaler medications every day, so you don't forget again.
Use your Inhaler Alarm PuffMinder ALARM Once-A-Day (24 hour interval) or Twice-A-Day (12 hour interval). Other alarm timer settings are possible (see below).
NOTE: This is a visual reminder, with a very soft attention sound 'beep-beep' (20 seconds in duration) when the visual indicator is turned on.
